Sherpas and Their Dangerous Job on Mt. Everest

The text deals with the description of some expedition carried out by the climbers of Mt. Everest. It tries to explore the difficulties the climbers face during their expedition. It also glorifies the adventurous task of climbing Everest with reference to professional Sherpas in Nepal.
Climbing Everest is a difficult task as the climbers should continue their expedition amidst dangerous situations and risks. The major threats of climbing Everest are ice falls, avalanches, storms, and adverse weather. Khumbu icefall which is about half mile long located between the base camp and camp 1, is an extremely dangerous place to cross on Mt. Everest. Similarly, there are 10 stories high overhanging ice on the way that can fall down at any time. Glaciers on the icefall or western ridge of the mountain can break away at any time triggering an avalanche.
In April 2014, Sherpas died in this notoriously dangerous parts of Mt. Everest. Several of them were injured and some others were missing. In April 2015, when a massive earthquake hit, it triggered an avalanche in Everest which damaged even the base camp which the climbers generally feel safe.
A famous climber George Mallory climbed Mt. Everest in 1922 but couldn't get success because of the avalanche. Two years later, Mallory and Irvine set off with five Sherpas. That time both of them vanished. None knew whether they reached the summit or not. After 75 years Mallory's body was found on Everest but Irvine is still missing. Many expeditions tried to find him but they haven't been successful yet. Many expeditions supported by Sherpas are being launched every year.
Sherpa is an ethnic group living on the south side of Himalayas for about 500 years. The literal meaning of their name is 'people from the east'. These are the people who migrated from Tibet to Nepal. They are Buddhists. The main occupation of them is working as the guiding clients up the mountains. They also are involved in the trade of medical herbs. As Sherpas live with an extreme climate, they can breathe more easily at high altitude than other climbing clients. Sherpas are extremely hardy. In every Everest climb, they tie colorful flags for divine blessing and good luck. Sherpas have the quality of selflessness and compassion and it has been proved by them in every expedition. They are skillful and courageous people with good climbing experience.
Climbing Everest is an adventurous task. It's equally dangerous too. The earthquake of 2015 has worsened the situation on Everest.
